This article will take a look at the payment experience for venues and their customers.

 

 

Payments Within the LiveStyled Platform

 

Cash payments are fast becoming a thing of the past as more and more forward thinking venues are opting for cashless solutions. It’s already prevalent in the Nordics and many parts of Europe are following suit. It’s easy to see why, when the cost of handling cash is said to be 11% higher than cashless solutions. Remove the staff time counting cash, security, shrinkage and banking costs, and that could be 11% extra straight on the bottom line for your venue.

 

LiveStyled enables clients to go partially or fully cashless, speeding up queue time at concession stands and reducing shrinkage in these areas.

 

In-app payments also offer accurate, real-time, reporting via the Backstage CMS, enabling venues to easilly identify the most lucrative products or in demand locations within their venue.

 

To utilise the payment functionality within the LiveStyled platform you’ll need the ‘Monetise’ API product module. This enables a number of features, including listing goods in the shop section of the app and enabling customers to pay for purchases in app.

What is the Customer Experience?

 

As with all LiveStyled apps using the Monetise API, payments and redemption are made easy.

 

1. Customers browse the products, for example food and beverage or merchandise, and add their product choices to their in-app shopping bag.

 

2. The purchase is completed using credit/debit card, PayPal, Apple Pay or Android Pay. It’s a very standard purchase experience across all retail, and one in which customers are used to. 

 

3. Orders are then redeemed by taking the phone to the relevant concession. Staff mark the purchase as redeemed and the customer takes away their goods. Simple!
